Don't let the winter blues take hold! While it may seem like everyone in Perth is off to enjoy a European summer, there’s still plenty of fun to be had in Perth. Running every Saturday afternoon from 13th May until 28th October, Scarborough turns into a bustling hub of activity, filled with food stalls, live music, and crafts from local artisans. Scarborough will ignite into a cosy sanctuary of all your market faves along with a few new wintery delights.

2. Discover Creativity at the WA Art Gallery

Are you an art fan? Why not make a day of it and head to the Western Australian Art Gallery? The gallery has an extensive collection of over 17,000 works of art, ranging from traditional Aboriginal art to contemporary pieces from Western Australia, the rest of the country, and beyond. With constantly changing exhibitions, there’s always something new to see. Here’s a glimpse of what’s on over the winter months:

  • The West Australian Pulse 2023 28 April – 20 August 2023: WA's talented young artists are celebrated in this yearly showcase, gauging the pulse of young people who will influence, empower and shape the world we live in.

When the winter chill gets too much, why not retreat to the warm and comfortable surroundings of your local cinema? With hot popcorn in hand, immerse yourself in the latest blockbuster or indie film.
