From exciting dinosaur adventures to mesmerising light displays, the activities all promise a whirlwind of fun and learning.

1. DinoFest | May Drive, Kings Park

Get ready for a prehistoric adventure these school holidays as DinoFest transforms May Drive in Kings Park into your very own Jurassic Park! This immersive experience features a thrilling 45-minute walk amongst towering, life-sized dinosaurs moving along a specially designed dino trail. It’s already kicked off from 24th June and running until the 16th July, there are an array of dinosaur-themed activities will keep the kids engaged.

2. School’s Out Winter Fest | Perth Convention Centre

Get ready, the ultimate family winter experience is back! Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre is yet again converted into a winter wonderland with an ice rink, snow slides, carnival rides, sideshow games, showbags and more! Running from the 1st July until 16th July, there’s something for the entire family.

3. Discovering Ancient Egypt | WA Museum Boola Bardip

Immerse yourself and the kids in the world of Ancient Egypt with the WA Museum Boola Bardip’s latest exhibition, Dicovering Ancient Egypt. The exhibition explores ancient Egyptian civilisation and how they lived and celebrated the afterlife. The exhibition kicked off on the 10th of June and runs until Sunday the 8th October, so if you don’t make it over the school holidays there’s still plenty of time to be mesmerised!

4. Sea Monsters | WA Maritime Museum

While dinosaurs ruled the land millions of years ago, giant reptiles more than 20 metres long hunted the depths of the sea – and they’re coming back to life at WA Maritime Museum. Running until the 16th July, Sea Monsters: Prehistoric Ocean Predators is an exciting exhibition at WA Maritime Museum. There’s life-sized casts and never-before-seen fossils over more than 70 exhibits. This one is best suited to the older kids.

5. Lightscape | Kings Park

For the first time ever, the internationally beloved Lightscape is lighting up Kings Park! Begin your journey beneath tree canopies illuminated in colour, walk under larger-than-life flowers and into dynamic, glowing tunnels. Running from 16th June to the 30th July, tickets are now available – you and the kids won’t want to miss this!

6. Transformers Base Camp | Karrinyup Shopping Centre

Do you have a child that’s captivated by the world of Transformers? If so, they're set for an unforgettable adventure this school holiday season! Karrinyup Shopping Centre is celebrating the release of the latest Transformers movie by transforming with adventurous activities for the kids. Here they'll complete 5 tasks and missions, collecting letters as they pass each challenge. It’s on from the 9th July until the 16th of July and bookings are essential.

7. Kids Holiday Courses | Fremantle Arts Centre

Fremantle Arts Centre’s kids courses are back for the school holidays! Kick back and let the kids’ imaginations and creativity run wild with a wide range of workshops running from the 4th of July to the 14th of July. There’s something for kids of all ages, from younger kids (5-8) and older kids (9-12) - think drawing and illustrating, pottery classes, script writing and acting, clay making and everything in between! Bookings are essential, so get in quick!

8. Take A Hike

Perth brims with an array of wonderful walking and hiking paths, dotted in and around the city. Luckily, a good number of these trails are ideal for a family hike, so why not make a day of it?
